Middle Andaman

Dhani Nallah Boardwalk · mangrove country

Middle Andaman covers Rangat and Mayabunder, the working, forested stretch of the island chain between Baratang and Diglipur. The main draw is the Dhani Nallah Mangrove Walkway — a long wooden boardwalk that threads straight through a mangrove creek, among the longest of its kind in Asia.

Beyond the boardwalk, Amkunj Beach sits almost entirely unvisited, and Rangat is the usual jumping-off point for day permits to Interview Island Wildlife Sanctuary, home to feral elephants and a large seabird population.
